This vent outlet does NOT seal thereby allowing back drafts into the home when air isn't being forced through it. I ended up not using it but didn't return it as the return shipping made it cost prohibitive.Given 2 stars as I think that the quality is good otherwise & it could potentially be modified to seal properly by adding some more material.

The quality of this vent housing is great. Unfortunately the flap inside is not spring loaded so it just dangles. Any mouse can push it open and get in the house. I will have to modify it so there is a positive closing force on the flap.

This was a hard to find item in this size. I couldn't believe it was stainless steel for the price. I couldn't be happier.

A fine example of quality workmanship. I would recommend this over many other available wall vents at big box stores.

Great product very sturdy compared to a plastic one .Easy to fit, slight popping noise when its windy outside unlike the old plastic vent which was very noisy when the wind blew

I was waiting for something like this for a long time. Trying to find a vent with 5-inch diameter is tough, lots of 4 and 6 inch ones, but not many 5 inch. I could have bought a white plastic, ugly looking vent much earlier, but don't ever settle as they say. Love this vent, easy to install for any somewhat of a handy man.
