Basil Bicycle Basket Cento WSL Black, 45 x 31 x 22 cm

I was so glad I found this basket. It has a great technique to fix it to the bike without damaging anything. And it sits very tight. The overall quality is great.

The basket is great, but the installation system only works with traditional round bar racks. It would not fit my rack and I had to go to the hardware store, buy bolts and bolt it to my rack. So this installation was as bad as it gets.

Very sturdy, easy to install with great hardware that comes with it.

Ich finde den Korb spitze, deswegen habe ich ihn mir noch mal gekauft für mein normales Fahrrad zum einkaufen. Den ersten Korb habe ich im Juli 2018 an meinem E-Bike montiert und bin immer noch sehr zufrieden. Mit den engen Maschen kann nicht heraus fallen. Weil ich mit meinem Fahrrad zum einkaufen fahre, habe ich meinen Einkaufskorb (reisenthel) immer auf dem Gepäckträger befestigt (eine sehr wackelige Sache). Da mein Einkaufskorb in diesen Korb passt, hat mein normales Fahrrad jetzt auch einen Korb bekommen. Somit kann nichts mehr beim fahren abhauen.Mit meinem E-Bike fahre ich auch über Feldwege und das ca. 25-30kmh, bis jetzt ist mir noch nichts raus gefallen egal ob Schlüssel oder Obst oder eine Getränkeflasche. Zur Befestigung braucht man nur einen im Inbusschlüssel.

I bought this basket because my Alturia saddle bag became badly worn after my years of use. Now that I have this basket, I no longer have to distribute my shopping between a main compartment and pockets and trying to force things in. I can just put everything in a normal shopping bag and then just drop it into the basket and ride away.My only complaint really is that mine arrived with only three fixings when it is meant to have four. Unfortunately you only have two choices 1) Just put up with it. or 2) send the item back for refund or replacement. I didn't want the bother of sending it back so I chose option 1) put up and shut up. But it would have been nice if they could just send out the missing fixing.As it happens I didn't need the fixings because I fixed the basket to a Pletcher quick release mounting. Which means I can easily remove the basket for repairing the bike and suchlike.All in all I find it quite liberating compared with my old way of doing things. The basket combined with a shopping bag can carry more that what the bike can be expected to withstand. So I am never going to run out of capacity.

Bought this item to replace my previous basil basket.The old one had problems with the mounting bars where the screw thread would come loose and I would loose the bolts. This resulted in a lop-soded basket.The new design has plastic grips that are secured by the bolts making the mounting stay inline at all time. It also reduced the bolts to just 4. It also frees up space under the pannier rack that would seem to make it suitable for pannier mounted batteries on electric bicycles

Turned mine low end facing under the saddle and it fits perfectly. It took a wee while towork out how the ”snap” action fixings worked but an alan key on a power drill did the trick.I have seen comments about weight but this item is for a touring, nor a race bike.Initially I had getting my leg over because of the extra height behind the saddle butI’ve worked that out now.

I really like it. It fitted onto the carrier very easily. Fitting only took a few minutes. I have now used it for several months and it is just as secure as day-one. It was carried a wide range of loads, securely and without fuss. In particular, a supermarket bag-for-life fits in snugly and is easily kept in place with a elastic from front to back.If there was one improvement I could suggest, it would be good if it had somewhere to mount a rear light. As it obscures the seat pillar, bike lights need to be mounted on the frame stays and many do not fit to tubes this narrow.
