Riley Blake Quilter's Tailor Wooden Clapper Tool Steam Iron Set a Seam Sewing Quilting (12")

This was a gift for my daughter who loves to sew and needed this to press the seams flat. I was going to make one but didn’t have any leftover maple or oak to use. It was cheaper to buy the finished product than to buy the raw materials. The quality and delivery were outstanding. My only complaint was that the sticky label was on the bottom surface. It was so sticky that we had to use a strong solvent to remove the glue residue. Then, after cleaning up the solvent with soap and water, the wood grain raised noticeably after drying and we needed to sand with very fine sandpaper (800-1000). This extra effort could have been prevented if you just didn’t put the label on the bottom. Otherwise, a very good pod product!

I've thought about buying a tailor's clapper for some time. It really does a fantastic job of flattening seams! Definitely worth the purchase price.

I wasn't sure what to expect after reading many descriptions of different items, but based upon reviews of this particular one, I chose it. Very pleased with the workmanship and quality.

I didn't know what a quilter's clapper was before I saw it in a youtube video so I bought one to see what the hype was. OMG, it really does flatten out the seams beautifully. I don't know how I lived without one. I am so happy with this purchase.

Tool works as stated

I kept putting of this purchase because I couldn’t believe it would make much of a difference, but it really does! I love it! Especially for small blocks and pieces. Makes everything lay very flat!

I've seen this tool being used before, but never knew what is was for. I saw a demonstration and decided to try it out. It works great and makes so much sense. I wish I had bought one years ago!

Using this product made for more exact pressing of seams in quilting projects

Es handelt sich um ein Stück Holz aus Buche, schön bearbeitet, so dass kein Grat/Splitter empfindliche Stoffe beschädigen kann. Damit ist es gleichzeitig ein Handschmeichler und kann sogar als Stoffbeschwerer eingesetzt werden. Ein sehr nützlicher Helfer beim "Flachlegen" von Nähten!
