TMD16M10 - OEM Upgraded Replacement for GE Dryer Timer Control

I used this control to replace the faulty one in my dryer and it has worked well now for several months.

Easy to DIY. Take pic before disconnecting the old wires. Amazing that this single assembly is so much. I took the old one apart and they are making absolute bank on this stuff. It is all plastic. Even the gears are plastic (which is the entire reason you have to buy this thing). The plastic on the gears have worn, and will no longer end/start a cycle, due to being stuck on the worn gear.IF YOU HAVE A 3D PRINTER, YOU CAN MAKE YOUR OWN GEARS AND REPAIR. Good luck

Very easy to install. Since replacement, the dryer has worked very well.

Dryer timer control failed, took picture of the part, searched amazon, ordered it, next day delivery, installed new part in less than 15 minutes..

Easy and quick install and worked like a charm!

Quick and easy to setup and works as it should. However the rod that holds the knob is a little to thin making the knob fit loosely. Others have also mentioned this. A toothpick cut to fit the length of the knob helps tighten the fit and makes it easy to remove if needed. Hopefully the control continues to function properly.UPDATE: product failed after one cycle of drying. Replacement came quickly the following day. The replacement failed mid cycle. I don't understand the business plan of a company making such cheap replacement parts of horrible quality.

Popped it in, hooked up the wires, closed up the back, plugged it in, crossed my fingers and VOILA! I'm drying clothes again! Under 10 minutes, start to finish. But I would recommend that you take pictures of all the wires and which terminals you unplugged them from. I did. Thank goodness. Made reconnecting the wires simple and easy. Saved me at least a $160 service call.
