Highly effective for stomach issues or maintaining bowel health, at a low price!
I'd been using Metamucil for similar issues, which I've also reviewed here with high regard. However, Metamucil's price tended to rise suddenly by significant amounts for me to commit to regular purchases. So I looked at various alternatives.Frankly, I didn't expect too much with this because of its relatively low price. How wrong I was. What a pleasant surprise. This is a quality product. By far the very best in this range!Different people may vary with the amounts they need to get results. I use only one heaped teaspoonful of these psyllium husks every night, mixed with 250 mls of water (less than 1/2 a pint). That works brilliantly for me. It's also gluten-free & tasteless, which I prefer. A 500g pouch also lasts a long time. I've now bought it twice since March. I'll certainly buy again in future.Certainly in my experience, these Psyllium Husks from "Your Health Store" are a very effective alternative to far more expensive products for addressing various gastric issues. Highly recommended & a well deserved 5 Stars!

Good quality product
Good quality husks, fine but not ultra fine. I bought this to help with my gut health, I drink it briskly stirred into luke warm water, but beware! Drink fast before it goes into a gel then I follow with a glass of cooled water.

Just the job for gut health
I have IBS, or something very similar, and I've struggled to find something that suits me. This works well for me. I have a rounded teaspoonful in warm water at supper time and again in the morning with breakfast. One spoonful may suit some. I need at least 10 mls (two teaspoons) with plenty of water to keep me regular. Nice flavour, not in the least unpleasant.

Great product.
Fab for boosting fibre intake. I use it mainly to make gluten free bread.

Great alternative to Fybogel
I recently tried Fybogel, and it helped me a great deal, but is relatively expensive per dose. I found out that this is the active ingredient, and each dose is vastly cheaper. Just stir a teaspoon full of husks into a glass of water and swallow once or twice a day. The taste is inoffensive, but if you want you could mix it into squash or juice, or sprinkle it on your food (remember to drink plenty of water, you don't want this stuff turning to gel halfway down your throat).

They work
I was using a different brand for making almond flour flatbreads and also for digestion reasons more recently . I ran out so I ordered these and found that they certainly do work for sorting constipation problems. I use a level teaspoon and a half of these husks mixed in a cup of water till they are well distributed in the water and drink it immediately first thing in the morning along with plenty water throughout the day. I should mention that these husks do not have a vile taste when you drink the husk/water mixture I used these husks for making flatbreads and I need a bit more experimentation as the husks work differently to the fine powdered variety I mentioned at the start of the review. I mixed the dough as before but I think they whole husks maybe absorbed more water than I had allowed for whilst resting the dough , it was a bit dry . However the flatbreads were really tasty with these husks and the colour was not brown or purple but a lovely golden colour. Great product so i will be re-ordering when needed.
