Very cute and fairly easy for littler kids to understand
I’ve read this to my nearly 3 and 5 year olds, and they seem to understand it pretty well. It’s a really cute book with a great message.

BUY IT
If I could give 10 stars I would. I follow Diane on Instagram and I am constantly grabbing her books as she puts them out. I have yet to be disappointed. When I read this to my class the first thing they asked was if we could read more! I was so happy they loved them I preordered her box set that just came in the mail. The excitement was real in my classroom yesterday lol I am reading these with 3rd grade and they are just wonderful because these kids have so many emotions and responsibilities that they don’t understand or can’t talk about. These help get discussions rolling and help them understand a bit better in a fun way. I would say if you do a morning meeting or SEL try to incorporate these books they’re wonderful.

Go to books as a parent!
I use these books as teaching moments for my son. I think this is a great line of books for parenting toddlers, and young preschoolers.

Great for school use!
This is a great book for use in your classroom! I really like the specific examples given in the "things" and "places." I wish there was more in the "people" area on respect being shown in our kind actions and kind words, along with how we speak to others, but overall, I think this would be a great way to start your conversations on the topic.

A great read aloud for the Smartboard!
My class loved this new book by Diane! We got to read it on the Smartboard at school because of the electronic format, and they enjoyed it so much! We had read one of the other Spot books at the beginning of the year, they were excited to see him back! This books goes along wonderfully with the PurposeFull People program through CharacterStrong that we use at our school!

PERFECT for very little kids
I originally downloaded to see if it was appropriate for third grade because I have class of third graders who could use a reminder about respect! It’s very cute and outlines all the basics of respect, especially for classroom supplies and people in the classroom. I just think it is worded in a very pre-school way which is fine but maybe not the best for older! I still love it!

Educational Children's Book about being Respectful.
Diane Alber's book titled "A Little Respectful Spot," is a story about a character named SPOT who teaches Young Children about the importance of Respecting People, Places and Things. SPOT's examples throughout the storybook are very relatable when it comes to Respecting others at School and things in the Classroom. I look forward to reading this story to my Kindergarten Students.

Incredible books!
All of these Spot stories are incredible. I have an 8-year old who absolutely loves them. They're very relatable to his age group, and have given us a common language do discuss feelings, emotions and thoughts.
