Shimano Disc Brake Pads | Sport Semi-Metallic and Sport Organic | Shimano Acera, Alivio, Deore, LX, Nexave, Non-Series, Tourney, Promax, RST, Tektro, TRP

I had a set of these brake pads on my mountain bike and when they needed to be replaced I thought I'd try pads that were half the price. Big mistake! Those pads were very noisy. I was so embarrassed to use my noisy brakes, I'd slow down and coast into the trailhead if people were hanging around. These Jagwire brakes are quiet and have braking power like the bike was new. Note: the package is for one wheel. Two packages are needed to replace both front and back wheels.

Installed to replace some semi metallic pads on my front rotor and some regular oe shimano pads on the rear. To install, I bled the brakes, cleaned my rotors with alcohol, and filed down the pads enough to remove the top mating/protection layer. Compound bedded in almost immediately and it's far quieter than OE. Stopping power is sufficient to lock the wheels and seems easier to modulate. I'll buy these again

Well if had these pads only about 200 miles and the front pads have lost their stopping abilities although I've adjusted them several times they just fail to maintain the stopping power for a front brake. The rear pads have held up quite well with very small amount of adjustment. The wear on front and rear are surprisingly equal. With all that said I'm switching my front to a semi metallic. I'll drop a star on my review to 4.

My son has MT-201 brakes on his bike, and the usual B01S pads are harder to come by in todays backordered market.These Jagwire ones seem to work even a bit better. They are holding up well. I already ordered a spare set for when he is ready to swap them out.

I used these to replace the pads my bike came with because they are supposed to be quieter. I was shocked when I had almost NO braking power. I quickly put my old pads back on. I wish I could return these but am past the return window.

The media could not be loaded. I've been using this pads since I got my ebike, i don't trust anything else. Pretty good.

I like the product overall

The metallic pads that came with my Tektro Auriga brakes were horrible. Always making noise. I had to sand them down every time I rode. These organic pads have solved that problem. I haven’t put a lot of miles on them yet but I have yet to hear a sound. The stopping power is somewhat less than the metallic pads but I’m happy with that trade-off given how annoying all that noise was.
