Smithsonian Handbook of Interesting Insects

I got this for my nephew toddler. The pictures are beautiful and capture details of different insects. Other family members were fascinated by it as well lol

As a Biology student I love this books, the pictures are amazing and the information is not to little and not too much, if you want to buy another book related I recommend the Smithsonian handbook of insects

If insects make you go “yuck”, you should look at this book. Large photos of amazing insects from around the world. Each example is a work of art. Great color and detail.

It is really neat seeing the insects very large and the fact that they put together this collection thinking it would be the most interesting insects for enthusiasts to look at... And it is a neat collection. But when you look at the information provided for each insect it is far less than you would expect to see, especially given all the white space and the topics that books often cover but this one does not (like what is it's habitat, what does it eat, how long does it live?).

Great book

Great pictures and language in descriptions. Suitable for young adults. Illustrates the differences in sex and age. Has a complete index. I want to see a snake fly! No snakes don't fly, but an elongated fly...interesting!

This book is amazing. I got it for my 4 year old, the size is perfect for him to carry around, the photos are beautiful, the info succinct, the collection extensive.

The book is smaller than I was expecting but it didn’t detract from the images inside as they are closeup and take up the whole page. Very interesting creatures some very beautiful and some that really creeped me out! Ideal for someone who wants creative ideas for imaginary monsters sci fi etc or of course if for the study of insects. The natural world is truly amazing.

It‘s the most beautiful Book on insects i know! Beautiful pictures where you can see every Detail! I love it!
