It will depend on the tilt of way you mount the speaker. Assuming the One SL is completely horizontal (facing straight down), the speaker will be 11" from the ceiling to the bottom of the speaker (one SL = 5" + Mount = 6" = 11" total). If you tilt the speaker downward or have it facing 90 degrees from the mount, you could add another 2" to 4" in total distance. Hope this helps.
