Once you practice, it works great. My arthritis thanks me.
UPDATE: I love this product so much! It turns out, I use it almost every day. I like to cook from scratch and I have pretty good knife skills. This product is perfect for dicing onions! No more tears! Just peel, cut the onion in half. I can either small or medium dice, depending on which insert I choose. So easy! I've grown to love dicing bell peppers this way, too. This slices mushrooms beautifully. I was surprised that it does a pretty good (but messy) job of dicing tomatoes (lots of juice). Carrots dice or slice well, too. The trick is that the vegetable or fruit isn't too large, or it can be tricky.I debated investing in one of these kitchen gadgets for a long time. I was dubious at how helpful these really are. I have good knife skills, and am pretty adept at dicing onion. Could there be any easier way? Yes, it turns out there is. There are some caveats, though. After reviewing previous comments and watching videos, I decided that I'd just have to see for myself. My first advice is to carefully wash and study how to assemble and disassemble each part. One video showed a person who could not remove the the chopping blade with his fingers. Hello? Use a butter knife! Voila, it popped right out.I have two kinds of mandolins. One is a very traditional one, but it's cumbersome and takes up a lot of space. The other one is a vertical one, and I do like it. However, the chute capacity is small and you have to click a bunch of numbers to program the cut you want. So, here's what I learned. Practice. Experiment. You can't expect to have this chopper to dice HUGE chunks of vegetables. They should be cut to fit the size of the blade. I also tried dicing some Canadian Bacon. It worked, but a lot got stuck. Maybe deli meats aren't the best idea. You really need to be careful when handling the blade. I was initially trying to figure out how to insert a blade with the mandoline feature and I cut myself! My index finger bled like a stuck pig, and it hurt! It was totally my fault. Now that I understand how to insert and remove the blades, the odds of cutting myself are much slimmer. As far as cleaning, I like the "comb" that's included. Bottom line, this works great with vegetables and some fruits (like apples). I have arthritis in my thumbs, now, so this is a great new kitchen tool I'll use often.

Chop and dice like butter!
I don't know where this thing has been all my life! I chop vegetables almost daily for recipes for myself but I also make homemade dog food. Will admit that I don't use some of the blades very often but the three main dicing chopping blades I use interchangeably. I chop broccoli, cauliflower, cucumber, and pulverize mixed vegetables so that I can turn it into dog food. I bought one of those straw cleaner like for your drink cups and I use it to clean the grates of the chopping blades easier. Very sharp! My finger can attest to that! The capacity is good and it cleans up easy just soap and hot water. It has four grips on the bottom so it doesn't slide around on your countertop when you're chopping. The chopping lid could stay on a little better, but if you chop with two hands it stays in place just fine.

Versatile
This product is a major time and labor saver. It slices, dices, grates, julienne s, with a minimum of effort and time spent. While I haven't used all it's capabilities just yet, I can say it's highly effective. It comes with explicit, easy to understand directions. It features a large dicer (uniform 1/2" pieces) and a small dicer (uniform 1/4" pieces). Similarly, it has two slicing blades and two julienne blades for regular size pieces and finer pieces. It also has a safety device for slicing small pieces of food that minimizes the possibility of cuts to the fingers. A great product for the money - recommended.

First Glance Mueller Pro Chopper
Mueller Pro Series Ultimate Chopper/SpiralizerI have an older model Mueller Chopper and I also own an older model Mueller Mandoline. Both products are excellent but the blades are dulled. Because Mueller makes an excellent product, I decided to replace both with the same brand. The older chopper's blades fit conveniently tucked inside the closed lid for storage. The older Mandoline has also served me well. The Vegetable Pusher is stored separately in a drawer.I just received my recently ordered Mueller Pro Series II Chopper Slicer Spiralizer. In the instructions it states, "The Blades, Cleaning Fork, Safety Holder, and disassembled Spiralizer, are best stored in the Food Tray Container for space saving."As the pictures show, the safety guard is just a bit to wide to actually sit down into the box as indicated. Unfortunately, the little mandolin platform doesn't fit at all (they don't say it will) and of course, the lid won't fit to contain the parts (again, they don't say it will.) I'm disappointed in you Mueller. Your mandolin and safety guard seem to have been afterthoughts. With just a little more planning, you could have made a very convenient self contained product that had no loose attachments floating around the drawer to become damaged. I'll need to take up more space in my drawer with a box to contain separate parts. Another inch taller and wider and another $5 or $10 bucks more would have made me happier to have a completely contained storage system.I haven't used this yet as I've been simply trying to figure out fitting the parts 🤔 in the container. After using this newer model, I'll update my review. I expect it will work as dependably as its older version and can't wait to use all its upgraded features. Minus 1 star for storage only.
