Q: Can the J. Herbin blotter papers when used for fountain pen ink be reused? Thanks

Yes. They are a two-sided sheet of blotting paper 4 6/8 by 7 3/8. To use, one dabs the wet inked area one or two times. For future use, one just uses an unexposed part of the blotting paper. Same on both sides. When all sides (both sides) show evidence of ink blotting, it's possible one could re-expose the used surface of the blotting paper but effectiveness will diminish. I think there were 8 or 10 blotting papers (blotters) in a package. Each blotter should last a few days or longer, depending on whether you're blotting inked signatures or entire letters.

To fit most blotters, blotters paper sheets should measure 4.5x7.5 in. I have purchased in the past small blotter sheetslaminated on one side by Visconti that were sized with the smaller designation of about 4x8 cm.

Really cool blotter, bought 3-4 years ago. Each blotter is edged in a design (Victorian style artwork) which creates a frame for the blotter. Printed words within the frame says “Blotting paper” also “Papier buvard”. Artwork in the center shows a galleon and “J. Herbin, dupuis1670”. You are some careful buyer, not willing to risk $10 or so before a final commitment. I’d hate to try to sell you a car or a house!

Q: What is the length? The name says 6.3 and the description says 7.5.

The longer dimension is 7.5", the shorter dimension is 4.75".
