Works !
Someone else installed it, but it works well nowThe fan wasn’t turning in our unit. The old contactor had burn/shorted marks, which caused it to “not open”. This one was the exact one my unit had. Now fan spins and I’m enjoying the ac

Original Packard item
I was little spectical about it because of negative reviews about not receiving the item described on Amazon. But I gave a shot and decided to try because specification say brand Packard.I received item as described and the item I need for my AC contactor coil. Single pole, 30A FLA 180 LRA.Very well build, seems quality stuff. ACE hardware also sells this brand as my experience ACE hardware does not carry low quality stuff. I saw the item on their web and ordered from Amazon because quick delivery. See pictures for detail

Great replacement part
Did the job when replacing the old contractor on my Goodman unit. AC was back up and running in about 15 minutes.

Worked perfectly
The old contactor in my outside heat pump AC unit died about a year ago. The HVAC tech did not replace it and instead jerry rigged a fix for it.The fix didn't last long, and I sort of lost confidence in with the HVAC company. I bought this one and installed it myself. This one works perfectly.

Same part, but cheaper than the local hvac parts store.
What can I say? It's a contactor for an air conditioner. It was a direct replacement of the same brand and spec. I can't really speak of quality as this is replacing one that would get stuck closed. Fingers crossed that doesn't continue.

So Far So Good
I ordered this contactor - w/ overnight shipping - from Free Shipping LLC on Thursday. I received it b4 3pm on Friday and installed it later that afternoon. 3 days in and it's working well so far. I'll have to wait to see how long it will hold up. This same contactor (same mfgr & p/n) was installed summer 2012 on my heat pump. It worked intermittently through the following winter and finally failed this summer - summer 2013. I'll be sure to check the new contactor monthly to make sure there are no ants or other contaminants blocking or around the contacts. (I saw no evidence of contaminants in the failed contactor.)I did clean the unit while waiting for the contactor delivery (pulled off the heat pump housing, cleaned away all detritis & debris - esp. debris that was forming blockages around the coils). Hopefully this will aid in the unit running more efficiently and, perhaps even, the contactor lasting longer. If you're a DIY'er - as am I - the most important thing is to be mindful of safety. To that end, be sure to turn off your thermostat and/or the breaker to your thermostat and pull the breaker outdoors near your heat pump b4 working on and/or cleaning your heat pump or a/c.How to change your contactor (on YouTube):http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=keM6kCfOsY8More A/C How To Videos:http://fixmyownac.com/air-conditioning-repair-videos/
