Q: How sturdy are these rivets? I need something that can permanently secure two pieces of leather and withstand moderate tugging.

I'm not sure that these rivets could handle and stand up to what you describe, especially if very thick. I bought these for crafting with and they are a bit much for crafting. However, I'm not so sure that they would hold for long on 2 pieces of leather. I have not tried it on leather though, I must clarify.

Yes, yes and yes. It comes with a good assortment of rivets and finishes. It has some bronze finish that are 3/8in long and it comes with a setting tool.

Q: what is the shank or hole diameter?

It varies for each size. The biggest is maybe 1-1.5mm

Riveting content

Haven't had much chance to use this while shut down for the holidays and Omicron. I like the fact I have a choice of sizes to use, and that I have options for finishes. Looks like it'll work for what i have to do with it.
