Arm Knitting: 30 no-needle projects for you and your home

Well-Thought-Out Technical Knitting Book, But Silly
ARM KNITTING: 30 NO-NEEDLE PROJECTS FOR YOU AND YOUR HOME is a perfectly decent technical knitting book, but it’s just plain silly. Why would you want to knit with big loops of thick yarn on your arms rather than on big knitting needles? And what do you do if nature calls while you’re still all wrapped up—quite literally—in your knitting? (The book is silent about removing loops to stitch holders.)The looping techniques (cast on, knit, purl, bind off) for arm knitting are the same as for ordinary two-needle knitting. The techniques are clearly explained, and illustrated with step-by-step photos. There are 30 well-thought-out projects, ranging from scarves (of course) to hats (ditto) to pillow covers (natch) to throws (yes) to rugs (practical). There’s even a sweater and a vest.Try this niche knitting technique for fun, but don’t take it very seriously. It’s NOT easier than knitting with needles—it’s just different and a lot less efficient.

Helps with understanding yarn
Decent book that helped me figure out the size of each item made. I was able to figure out how much yarn was needed and helped me understand the difference in yarn. The only reason it didn’t get 5 stars was that the step by step was a little difficult being my first time. YouTube videos helped with the rest.

Great Even For Beginning Knitters
This book offered many different patterns for interesting projects and gave great instructions for those of us who don't knit. I will be making at least three of the projects this year as gifts.

Poor instructions- good ideas
Great idea starter but the instructions are lacking. Luckily I am a proficient knitter and crafter or I would have no idea how to do most of these projects. I bought this book so I could make the Bento bag - it was a complete guessing game once my pieces were knitted. The diagram/ instructions are weak at best.If you need really detailed, step by step instructions steer clear of this book.

Two Stars
As a beginner to knitting would have liked more step by step visual. Difficult to follow.

Love this
I have wanted an arm knitting guide for some time. Reviews led me to choose this one. I am not disappointed. It is a bright colourful book with guides to arm knitting, casting on, weaving in ends and all you need to know to get started. Patterns for things like a dog bed, blanket/throw, scarf, mats, rug etc. I would recommend this book.
