So, I'll be honest. I bought this because I was looking for a cheaper (much cheaper) alternative to my beloved but far too expensive Kate Somerville ExfoliKate (Intensive Exfoliating Treatment). This product is not that. But you know what? For the price, which is about 10% of the cost of the ExfoliKate, it's pretty freaking impressive. I'm at a point in life where I'm worried more about dullness and wrinkles than acne and clogged pores, but exfoliation is important for me, too. This is a bit more harsh than I thought it would be, but it's not as bad as the old school apricot scrub or a sugar scrub, for example. It's somewhere in between. I don't use a lot of pressure when I'm using it, especially on the delicate skin around my eyes and mouth, and that seems to be working well. I have sensitive skin that's pretty reactive, prone to rosacea/redness in general, and it's been happy with this scrub. I've been getting a lot of compliments on my skin and youthful appearance lately, so I figure I'll keep using what I've been using! Here to order another tube.

For someone who has oily skin and tends to sweat more than others, I LOVE this facial scrub. I’ve been using it for years. I tend to use it 1-2x/week to get a real deep clean before applying my face wash, toner, serum, etc.It definitely makes a difference when I use it versus don’t because I’ll have friends tell me that my face looks like it’s glowing vs when I only do the latter part of my face routine.Some people with more sensitive skin may not like the abrasiveness of this scrub, but if you workout frequently and have a similar skin type to me, I think you’ll love this as well.

I bought this after reading a review suggesting it and I will continue to buy it. It does a nice job. It’s not too gritty, but just gritty enough, but I actually feel like my face is being exfoliated without drying out.

When starting, you should be gentle with this scrub as it is very grainy (think large black sand particles). It's supposed to be naturally scented, but you are immediately hit with fragrance. It received a 3 (moderate hazard) from the EWG Skin Deep group (potential hazards and health concerns related to ingredients).

I've recently been trying to take better care of my skin, and this is the solution! I exfoliate 2x per week with this scrub and use it on my entire body! It's amazing at removing dead skin, has a great aroma, and washes off gently in the shower! Highly recommend

I started using this a few weeks ago and have definitely started to notice a difference in how soft the skin on my face feels. It doesn’t look or smell very great. It’s 100% vegan. I have rosacea and it is a little rough on my face when I use it but the results speak for themself.

I have been using this exfoliator two times per week and my skin has become much brighter, softer, and smoother. I've found it more effective than many of the other exfoliators I have tried and it's a good value as a little bit goes a long way. The scrub is very gritty and a bit messy to fully wash off, so I find it best to use in the shower. It has a pleasant scent and a nice thick consistency which makes it easy to apply.

The smell in my opinion was awful, plus it didn't work well for me.
