…don’t buy this if you are expecting the 1st generation of apple pencil to work and pair with your new apple ipad with a usb-c connection. It won’t work but that’s more to do with apple changing technologies

It allows connections to a modern charger, but seems not to carry any other connections. I have some legacy devices that worked with my old iPad and use a lightning connector. This adaptor did not handle the data lines so that my newer iPad could connect to the older devices.

Brought a new iPhone but had an old charger station so didn’t want to spend a lot of money on a new one. This adapter is just the job, fits perfectly and charges too

Brought for when my son comes over with his new phone in case he needs to charge it. The adapter stopped working after little use. Contacted supplier but no response. I will buy a proper lead next time.

Only 3 of 4 work and one of those works only sometimes (need to wiggle in socket). If the description details are understood then they are ok as the do charge devices but only at slow rate of charge pass through. Quality is not great though and no idea if they will last long though would be easy to break as they wobble in socket. As a reminder, charging rate is very slow irrespective of charger used. This means as a rule of thumb when used on an iPad Pro they just allow enough charge to maintain battery level when screen is just on, otherwise idle. When using a power heavy app, then the battery will still drain; it will only gain charge if it is in sleep mode, and of course that is still very slow.I bought knowing restrictions/limitations so not unhappy, only three stars as quality is below expected including having 2 faulty (albeit one does work sometimes). Not worth returning.

Great product. Saved me from buying new charging cables when I upgraded my iPhone. Regular Android cables don't seem to work with the new iPhones, but put this adapter on your iPhone charging cable and it works!

I have purchased a few of these and they are great for charging phones with the old style cables, I have has a couple pack up working after 6 months or so. just order replacements and then return the faulty ones.

These are perfect for turning Lightning cables into USB-C charging cables for your new USB-C iPhones. But what I did not read is:1- they do not work to transmit audio (so don't expect them to work with your wired Lightning earbuds)2-they do not work with data (so don't expect them to work with wired CarPlay)If you buy them with those caveats, they're great!

I was going to write a 1-star review because they didn't work with earbuds. But I need to give myself a 1-star review for not seeing the MANY MANY places in the listing (and even the title) that CLEARLY say this. The good thing is that having a couple of these just for charging will be useful, and the price is very reasonable. So I don't regret buying them. I just had to order a pair of USB-C earbuds.

It is used for charging purposes ONLY, so if someone is interested to transfer data or to listen audio is not the proper choice.Furthermore the manufacturer suggests to be used with 5-10 Watts chargers, non recommending 18 to 24 Watts and definitely prohibiting 35 Watts chargers.
