Great synthetic alternative.
Wonderful brush. Holds an excellent amount of water, fine tip for small lines, and has a great snap. I see no outstanding difference between this and my Silver Black Velvet brushes. It holds "slightly" less water than my BV, maybe 5-10% less, but it still retains it's lovely snap. My issue with my Silver is it dosen't have any snap at all, and the bristles go all over the place. The Black Velvets are still good(and **beautiful** lol let's be real) brushes, but it doesn't make sense to spend twice as much when there are alternatives like the Princeton Elite. Very happy.

Great synthetic. Not a kolinsky dupe by any means.
The second I started using this brush I was in love. It is not a kolinsky dupe at all. I switched back and forth between my kolinsky to this to test the difference. There is such a noticeable difference between the two. For one thing, this holds about half the amount of water and is muuuch more stiff. The trade-off is that it has a fantastic point, a great price, and you can be less careful with it because you don't have a high price tag looming over your head. The point, as often happens with synthetics, is already showing wear after only two paintings, and I don't paint rough . This is unfortunate but something you just have to deal with when you use synthetics. And because the price is so low, I can easily replace this when it gets too worn down. This is a great brush. I was smiling from ear-to-ear when I first tried it and I'm in love. I immediately ordered four more sizes.

A fantastic Brush
You can spend a lot more money on brushes, I have. This brush and all the other Princeton brushes have become my major go-to brushes. I have a lot of brushes and sometimes you need something very soft, but you also need the "snap" you get from these brushes. I'm using it daily. Love it.
