I bought this item with a certain amount of scepticism after reading some of the reviews on here. The Ring Camera is solid and quality unlike some of the alternative products on here one of which I sent back a couple of months ago due to its cheap feel & look.I set it up very easily indoors on the table, the set up instructions within the Ring App are very good and easy to follow, the Ring Chime that I purchased with this item proved a little trickier to pair with my broadband after installing in the hallway, the router wouldn't connect properly so I relocated the chime to the living room where my router resides and paired it there at the 3rd attempt, after an hour or so i moved it back to the hallway and it worked fine. The numerous settings within the app allow you to set up the device for optimum battery use tailored to the required needs. You can also tailor the alert zones immediately beyond and around the ring camera so that you only get the alerts that you want, which is particularly important if like me you live on a main road and you don't want to be alerted everytime a person walks past your house! The picture capture quality is very good.

The media could not be loaded. (video or image may be blurry because of amazon but quality is AMAZING)Battery life lasts atleast a month with frequent motion detection or can be pushed to multiple months with less frequency. Works well with really really quick setup and very low delay. Don’t forget you also most likely will want a ring subscription however the yearly costs are quite decent. It fits perfectly into spaces and you are able to use a double sided adhesive if you don’t want to drill anything. One thing to note is that finding brackets for easy fits are hard for this specific model as it’s new, so i’d recommend a trusted double sided heavy duty adhesive a strip (not tape) if you want to install as it’s much easier to do so. Ring also provides a theft replacement policy too which is great!

We just upgraded from a 2nd gen ring doorbell I was shocked just how good this ismy other camera I thought was good but after installing this it is was rubbishThis camera makes night time look like daytime the picture Iv provided is 4 o’clock in the morning my last doorbell was black and white and couldn’t really see anything at night with this new gen 3 plus it’s like daytimeI did put the hard wire to the doorbell thinking it would work but they don’t work they still need the battery and it only puts a little bit of charge in the battery and you still need to charge the battery up that’s the reason for the 4 stars

This is great. I bought it for my sister who has dementia. She has been defrauded several times and this device allows me to monitor her callers. Even better, I can go live and speak to those on her doorstep. This device is giving me peace if mind. It may also help deter doorstep scammers .
