LGMagic Remote MR23GN, 2023

We purchased this to use with a 32 inch LG TV (comes with ordinary handset) and had no trouble hooking them up. It works as expected and is a great improvement.More challenging was then to reconfigure the whole set up so that this handset would also operate our Sonos Ray which only works via optical audio cable which does not easily hook up with this handset - as it is not an InfraRed handset. It can be done but we only managed it after watching a few YouTube videos and chats on the Sonos forum. If you are trying to do this - when you get to the bit where you are selecting the make of soundbar, we found that Sonos was not one of the choices offered. But we then guessed what to do and searched in this sort of search box on that page and entered the name Sonos with a capital S and ‘hey-presto’ up popped Sonos as an option. None of the online instructions mentioned this bit. Anyway you will definitely need to take advice on doing this as it is very far from intuitive. But now it all works perfectly and we are done !

Good solid remote, works perfectly as far as I can tell at the moment, nice to use, feels good in hand ,fast response when using, maybe a bit expensive ?

We recently purchased a new LG TV, but the included remote was absolutely terrible to use. This magical remote control connected to our TV in just a second and operating the TV functions is soo much easier. It literally works like a magic wand. Highly recommend

Is not voice recognition remote control

Order arrived fast with- the original product- well packaged with instructions- seller sent an upgraded versionPrevious remote ( TV s original non magic remote ) was annoying , due to very bad position of favorites shortcut. This one works great.Thank you

I got this to replace an older model remote which was having issues with the power button.It works as expected with the exception that the app buttons, that were not on the old remote, do not work.The main thing is that we can easily turn the TV on and off. It's good at that.

First of all this does not worked properly from the beginning. Pointer moves all over the screen, have to press button few times for it to "wake up" and actually do something. Never had this problem with my old lg tv and magic remote ( year 2018) but this new one is awful. On top of everything exactly 4 months after buying it ( as the new TV came with standard remote) the wheel you use to scroll and select things broke. It kind of "fell inside a bit" and now can not scroll as the wheel would not turn anymore. Contacted seller and will update this review with the result.Update: contacted seller it was helpful as it turns out at the time it was sold by AmazonEU so have to take it up with them.Update: got a refund from AmazonEU so I will take the risk and order another one from here. I really hope this one will work better or at least longer.
