Top quality tools.
I am new to wood turning and started out with a cheap set of turning tools. The cheap tools did work but would not stay sharp for very long, and one of the wood handles broke the first time I used the tool. I was given a Carter and Son's bowl gouge for my birthday and wow what a difference.Since then I have purchased two more Carter and Son's tools and my goal is to have a complete set of these high quality turning tools in my collection.No, they are not cheap but in this case you really do get what you pay for. The tools arrive razor sharp and ready to go to work. They hold an edge for a long time and the aluminum handles are strong and easy to hold.My advice is don't waste your money on a cheap set of tools. In my opinion these are the best turning tools available.
