Perfect for travelling
We travel to USA a lot and they often dont provide a kettle in your hotel room. Being British we love a morning cup of tea so this is perfect. It is compact and heats up to boiling in 5 mins with 500ml of water. Better than a travel kettle as looks like a travel mug so packs into your case easily. It came with a British plug ( The cable is not too long) and a carry case. Auto switch off and then goes into heat saving mode. Really happy with this.

Works well as a small compact kettle
I’d like to address the fact that when you look at the picture of this item in the Amazon listing it looks to be an in car 12v powe source. It is not! That picture is of a European plug, although probably not intentional, it is quite misleadingThe kettle/cup does work and I found it boiled the water quite quicklyHowever, it did not shut off automatically like a normal kettle would doI found the temperature setting to be a bit of a waste of timeWhy would you need this device?I suppose it’s compact and easy to take with you on your travelsThe water once boiled stays VERY HOT for a long time afterwards, the cup is very well insulatedI would not recommend letting any young children near this deviceAlso, do not sip from the cup once boiled, you’ll do yourself a right mischiefRecommend for its compact convenient design but please be careful with it as not used correctly may be a hazard

Best thing inventd
I didn't even know ow this was a thi g I've seen mini kettles but this Is another level I use it to use at work for convenience. One button press and have hot water in a couple of mi sites for a hot drink . Simple to use but can also be drank out of like a cup it hold the heat amazingly so you need to be extra careful if your going to drink out of it so as not to be burnt. It's strong and sturdy can make a large volume I usually get 2 mugs out of it.It's light to carry would be good to travel with.Charging cable isn't very long but it's just as its needed.

Well made, takes ages to boil and mine only has one setting
First off this portable kettle is a modern and cool looking gadget that is pleasing to the eye. If you’re like me and are a fan of gadgets this portable kettle appears to be a “must have “item, which makes it desirable. The build quality of this portable kettle is really good. It looks like it is made out of good quality materials, it feels like it is made out of good quality materials and it works as if it is made out of good quality materials. This portable kettle feels robust and like it is tough enough to survive the inevitable knocks, bangs and scrapes that are going to happen when carrying the kettle around. The manufacturers claim this portable kettle supports six different temperatures for various uses. If this is correct then I must have received a faulty kettle as mine only has one setting, being the 100 degrees. No matter how many times I press the button, or what I do, I cannot get my kettle to any of the other fiver temperatures, which is a shame. This portable kettle requires mains power to work so it’s not a versatile kettle. If it worked via car cigarette lighter socket or a USB C charger (one of the powerful and fast ones) it would be much more useful.Boiling this portable kettle to 100 degrees takes absolutely ages. If it was being powered using a car cigarette lighter, or even a USB C charger, then I would accept this and expect no different but given it is using direct mains power the time it takes to boil is just too long. Once the water is up to temperature this potable kettle will keep it warm for several hours, however so will a thermos flask. The power cable supplied with this portable kettle is really short, and I can only guess this is to make it small enough to fit inside the kettle when taking it out and about. The short power cable makes using this kettle more of a faff than it really ought to be.This portable kettle can only be used to heat water, i.e. you can’t fill it with coffee, hot chocolate, tea or anything else and warm it up. This means that as well at the kettle you also need to carry around sachets (or a jar) of your favourite coffee or a selection of teabags. This may or may not be a disadvantage to you.Whilst I like the idea of a small and portable kettle like this, in reality this product misses the mark and by a long way. The time it takes to boil water is annoying (and requires a bit of pre-planning) but the mains power only requirement is a big negative and the short power cable means you have to have a socket very close by and because of this I cannot nor would not recommend this portable kettle.Disclaimer: I am privileged enough to be part of the Amazon Vine program and as such I have the opportunity request products that I would find useful/potentially buy to road test in exchange for an honest review. I am not paid for this and all of my reviews are unbiased and based on my own experience.

Brilliant
I bought this to take abroad on a week's holiday - but didn't want anything too large or weighty. This (as it states) only does one drink at a time, but I liked it. It was pretty quick. It turns itself off when boiling. It's easy to fill. I love how easy it is to clean, as it is open like a mug. Oh, and you can store the electric cable in the kettle when not in use or when transporting. The only downside was that a small piece of plastic had broken off inside so it rattles about, it also takes a while to boil but does keep the water hot for ages I left it overnight and it was still 69degrees in the morning. Does exactly what it says. Would buy again.

Perfect for making a couple of drinks very quickly. Cold to boiling in 3 minutes approx.
HOMGEN Portable Electric Kettle (B0CRGQP2GX)Perfect for making a couple of drinks very quickly.Having unpacked the kettle, read the instructions and plugged it in, I selected 100 degrees for boiling water for tea and filled with water up to the max mark.Approximately 3 minutes later I had boiling water and was able to make two cups of tea. Very impressive. The kettle is well made, compact and has a display on the front allowing you to choose between 6 different temperatures. The cap screws on and is leak-proof. There is a small rubber plug on top that can be opened once the water is boiled to pour out the water into the cups. This avoids unscrewing the cap and any issues with steam, etc.The package contains the kettle, a 3pin kettle lead, a storage bag and small sponge with handle for cleaning the kettle after use. The kettle also has a handle for carrying. The outside of the kettle gets warm but the plug stays cold throughout.Very impressive and will be very useful for those occasions where you have access to mains power but no kettle.

Great idea
This is a great idea and works pretty well. It's compact and at half a litre isn't bad at all.
