Good for travel not for home.
We love the original Azul and decided to try this new version. I think we like summer pavilion more than the original. The game play is has more strategy and less blind luck. This travel version is the perfect size and we'll designed to take on the road. However for home use, the pieces are too small and hard to manipulate. Because of this we're planning to keep this for trips and buy the full version for home.

Tiny pieces Detailed game plan
I enjoy the Summer Pavillion Azul game. The travel game board, and player pieces with ridges can be a trial. Tiny pieces. You don't have a place to keep all your pieces if you actually were playing without a table. Requires a good amount of strategy and concentration, with numbers and colors, intriguing to me! 2-4 players is fine.

not like the original
not as small as I anticipated. I thought it'd be more like a travel size with a container. it's not. the game is cheaply made and the game is totally different than the original. overpriced in my opinion.

Cheap and not very portable: save your money and buy the regular edition
I feel really ripped off: the components of this are extremely flimsy and cheap, the box is a thin tuckbox that tore the moment I opened it, and the game isn't even really that "mini." You're far better off just spending an extra $15 for the "regular" version, which has much nicer components and whose box really isn't that much bigger. The game itself is fantastic, but this was a waste of money.
