Great Device, Worth The Money, Need to Address WiFi/Ethernet Tech Deficit
I think the latest Roku Ultra is worth the purchase. The interface moves much faster and smoother than the one we had from 2021.I do like the 4K support it works magnificently. One criticism: The ethernet port being 10/100M is pretty weak for these times. If this is supposed to be a front-line product it really needs to be 2.5G. While Roku claims they can support 802.11ac, I believe they have some work to do to be ready for WiFi 6e and 7. I also think they are incorporating old multiplexing tech which is limiting their ability to process at higher speeds. All that said, it's a great purchase for $80-$100. The remote finder is very handy. The backlit keys are also pretty nice to have as well. The voice controls are very complimentary. I also find using the Roku Android App to be really responsive. Again, this Roku is WAY smoother and responsive than its ancestors. My critique of the interconnectivity should NOT take away from a decision to purchase. I have 2.5Gb Fiber Service and I haven't had any buffering even with the Roku being a choke point in the data stream.I have bought Rokus for years now and I don't want to see another brand come along take them out. I love the "agnostic" format and the ever-improving features for the user experience. Just please, Roku, attack the interconnectivity tech next.

The 2 Best Streaming Devices
We had Amazon Prime & Paramount+ streaming along with DirecTV satellite for many years. A year ago I switched from the DTV dish to DTV streaming & got Peacock too. Our media room has a LG G4 OLED 65 that streams well, but I got a DTV Gemini Air streaming box to feed into my preamp & the preamp out to the TV. It's more convenient to select sources (Blueray, tuner, PC, CD), adjust the sound, pull up the guide, previous channel, voice command, record shows, etc. I bought this Roku for our Hisense H8 65 living room TV. I love this Roku box. The Roku box is faster & much more comprehensive than streaming on the TV. Roku has everything & it's all easy to access. The DTV Gemini Air & Roku boxes work near identically. Picture & sound quality are flawless. We have Spectrum 500/mbs cable internet & I have not experienced any buffering on either TV. The benefits of Amazon Prime, Paramount+ & Peacock are most all the shows are 4K with HDR video and an extensive selection.

Unbelievable Quality!
I have a Fire stick, and got a Paramount + subscription - it was horrible! Big time audio/video sync problems, sub par video quality, was ready to dump Paramount. Bought a Roku Ultra - WOW everything just worked! No sync problems, stellar video quality, connects fast and the remote is awesome! Couldn't get it to run my LG TV at, first but I was not in the right place for it to connect. Got it! Highly recommend it, puts the Fires tick to shame . . . Well worth the money, you will love it! If I was AI generated I would give it 3 thumbs up . . . There is neat feature I found. 1/2 the time when you rewind a movie it is because you did not understand what someone said. Roku has a feature you can turn on that will turn on closed captioning on rewind! Super cool! You disable it if you want Also I found when setting it up, there is a little piece of plastic on the Roku over the receiver window to protect it. Pull it off. It will interfere with the reception.

Roku Ultra.......... Won't disappoint Plenty bang for the buck đź’µ
Ok so I have two Fire TVs. Both are extremely slow at navigating through the built-in Fire operating system. I got frustrated with using it for day to day viewing of streaming content. I came across a really good deal on a Roku 4k streaming stick. I was extremely satisfied with the UI that it provided. It was like a kid discovering candy 🍬🤣. I started researching what Roku had to offer for streaming devices and the Roku Ultra rating was very impressive. I read reviews and watched YouTube videos about the Roku Ultra and was impressed by the claim that it is 30% faster than previous streaming players. Don't get me wrong, streaming sticks are pretty fast in their own right. The Roku Ultra is utilizing the WiFi 6 format and is actually ( in my opinion} really close to the speed at tuning various streams as changing channels with a cable tuner. I was so impressed with it that I bought a Polk audio surround system to complete my setup adventure. Describing my satisfaction in two words, HAPPY CAMPER! Oh and my 4k streaming stick, I plugged it into my other Fire TV. It is definitely a win win for me. I think it's worth the c-note that I dropped on it. Very easy setup and seemless integration. Impeccable build quality and amazing performance. Get one already, you won't regret it! The rechargeable deluxe remote is like icing on the cake 🎂 Zero overheating issues. The volume control actually works better than the remote that came with my TV. All pros and no cons.

Fast, Reliable, and Up To Date. Recommended.
There’s no real reason it’s not a 5 other than the fact it’s difficult to say any one thing is perfect. With that said, I am so happy with my Roku Ultra. I had primarily been using Fire TV Sticks (currently still use the Amazon Cube thing in one of my rooms) and this thing runs circles around those. The apps seem to be more up to date than on Amazon devices. For example, I use Fandango At Home (Vudu) quite frequently. On my Amazon device, I couldn’t purchase movies from the app, but I can with this Roku. Also, Netflix used to get extremely slow if I was browsing for too long when using Amazon. I don’t have that issue anymore.Obviously, there’s a significant price difference in gadgets, so one would assume the $100 device would work better. Well, it does. And it’s worth the price to me.
