An Excellent alternative to Furrion Cameras
This is the second camera I’ve purchased from Auto-Vox for towing my camper. My previous camera worked well (and still does), but it wasn’t designed to be mounted behind a tow vehicle. As a result, I was pushing it beyond its intended use. That led to occasional buffering and compression artifacts on the display. This new model solves all of those issues—and then some.Installation is a breeze. You mount the included plate, and the camera snaps onto it magnetically. The magnets are extremely strong, but for added security, you can use the included socket head cap screw to lock it in place. There's a USB-C charging port under a waterproof cover and a simple on/off switch beside it, accessible from the bottom of the camera. I charged it once via USB at the start and haven’t needed to since. The screen is excellent and comes with a 6-foot cable that plugs into your car’s 12V socket. Once powered, it automatically wakes the camera and starts the live feed. The image has a slight fisheye effect, which actually helps by widening the field of view behind the trailer. The display allows you to adjust brightness, guide lines, image orientation, and screen timeout settings.By default, the screen is set to turn off the camera after about two minutes, but I immediately changed that to stay on continuously—I use it as a rear-view camera, not just a backup cam. The manual warns that this mode may drain the battery faster, but in my experience, that hasn’t been an issue. During my longest test—a four-hour daytime drive—the battery still showed 3 out of 4 bars. Because it’s solar-powered, it’s constantly recharging. In fact, mine even showed it was charging indoors under regular lighting. The manual claims it can operate for 45 days without solar, though that seems optimistic. Still, the next time I used it, it was fully charged and ready to go.One feature I’d like to see is an option to hardwire the camera, but Auto-Vox offers other models for that purpose. The benefit of this one is portability—if your camper goes into storage, you can remove the camera in under 30 seconds for safekeeping. In conclusion, this camera is an excellent value. It delivers a clear, stable image from the back of my trailer (40–50 feet away) to the display in my vehicle, with no noticeable interference. I’m very satisfied with this purchase.

Easy to install and to use
I have used Auto-Vox products for several years and been very happy with their performance and durability. This current 5" 1080p offering provides some clear improvements over their earlier models. Mounting and setup is simple and fast and doesn't require special skills or tools. The strong magnetic mount on the camera, which has a rubber layer to protect the car from scratches, is very secure. (Two different steel mounting plates and screws are also included if the magnetic solution doesn't work for your vehicle.) The display image is very clear and bright (daytime: color, nighttime: B&W) and is rapidly refreshed. A second solar-powered camera (not currently available) can be added if you wish to have two views. The display is powered by a cigarette-lighter adapter that also contains a USB-C port and an on-off button to actuate the display for 1-2 mins. The display goes on automatically only when the vehicle starts. It would be a nice option if it could plug into a USB port directly instead. The camera's solar battery stays charged for a very long time if the vehicle is left unused and away from sunlight for a long time. Just in case, Auto-Vox includes a USB-C charging cable for an external emergency charge boost. All of the components are manufactured well and should last well when exposed to the elements. I highly recommend this product.

Good backup camera option.
This system is very convenient to install and use. The camera mounts very securely and has never moved once in place. The solar charge feature is convenient and helps keep the camera charged while in use. Not needing to splice into the vehicle’s wiring is a big plus and eliminates any possible wiring issues later.I have used this extensively on my cargo trailers and the ability to move the camera from one to another is very handy. It gives a clear view of the area behind the trailer making it much safer and faster when backing in the garage door.Battery life seems more than adequate with the solar charger but the added option of charging it with the USB cable makes it easy to make sure the battery is fully charged between uses. The picture quality is very clear and the size is more than adequate. All wiring is quick connect making installation or removal very easy and quick. The overall quality and design is great and I have experienced no issues with the system. If you’re looking for a very simple solution for a backup system you can’t go wrong with this one.

Monitor
Easy to install, but a suction cup mount for the display would be a better option. The monitor which is listed as 7.2 inches being rectangular, doesn't provide as much detail as a square 7 inch monitor.

Good backup camera if you want to deal with minimal wiring
When I was looking for a backup camera to install I was trying to find one with the most minimal amount of wiring. Having to fish a long wire through a big vehicle is something I dreaded doing so this wireless backup camera fit the bill for me.Installing was easy, just attach the camera to the rear of the car usually around the license plate and connect the screen (I got the 5 inch version) to your accessory port and the camera gives a live video feed. I can find this to be really useful not just for a backup camera but as the products images show it can be used to hook up trailers and monitor livestock. The screen itself is bright enough for day and night, you can adjust the brightness setting so it can be suitable. The latency of the camera is good, which is very important as no one wants to have a delayed backup camera which could potentially cause an accident.Overall, it is a great option if you want a wireless solution for a backup camera in vehicles of all sizes.
