Second time is the charm. After a little snag on the first delivery attempt (damaged goods...happened in shipping) we finally got the bookcases in. The crew delivering them were amazing. Each case was expertly packed and wrapped. Once all the protective wrapping was removed I could see the beauty before me. First off they are just as pictured if not better. But I was not prepared (though I should have been since the measurements are on the listing) for the size of the bookcases. These are not your average bookcase. Not at all. I'm very impressed with the quality of the bookcases and would highly recommend them to you....just be sure to double check the measurements. ;)

It's a very nice set up but the shelves bow when you put books on them. They needed to make the shelves out of real wood like the unit. For the price I'd expect the shelves to not bow. Disappointed

Purchased three bookcases as we have a serious book collection addiction. The Durham Bookcases possesses strong shelving, a lovely finish, and made to last. Each shelf holds about 60 pounds of books. They were cheaper to go through Amazon by $800 and we didn’t have to pay for shipping. Extremely happy with our Library.

Sturdy construction, great value for the money. Comes fully assembled, they were all packaged well and were easy to unpack. I purchased three bookcases, they all shipped and delivered together. I thought that this might be a headache of purchase, it was not. My husband and I had the bookcases unpacked and in place in a couple of hours. Very happy - thank you!

I agree the shelves may bend slightl;y if overfilled, but they are all totally fulll and without a yard stick or level no one would notice any bend, it's so slight.

We love the shelving - high quality, sturdy, and beautiful! It was perfect for my library.
