Initially, I was unsure if this holster would fit, a reviewer's comment about successful break-in encouraged me to make the purchase. As expected, the holster was stiff at first, but using plastic wrappers for about 24 hours effectively broke it in. Now it is a perfect fit.During the break-in process, the front sight did touch the interior, causing minor scratches. However, this didn't damage the sight, and the issue resolved itself over time. The break-in requires some patience, involving repeated insertion and removal of the pistol with the wrapper.This holster impresses with its high-quality leather and craftsmanship. Considering its reasonable price point, I'm tickled pink with this purchase. It fits great for someone willing to invest a little time in the break-in process.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Wow, I purchased one for my Sig P220 and I love it so much I just ordered it for my P228!The finish is great, my +2 10rd 45 mag sits against me unlike my last holster having it sticking out printing.I feel this holster leather will last me the rest of my life, it's made entremly well. It's what a holster should be!I have had a few holsters from nylon to kydex, A to Z. This one works, take the time to break it in "5 Hrs" and a little H2O for me to get it to land properly in the holster and you will be happy! It almost felt like I recieved a well used holster just because it felt like perfection after 5 hrs, but it was a new one. I'm sure some will say dont use water. They are wet molded, so it makes sense to use water as an aid to shape its form a bit more. It worked for me on 3 of my holsters!

This holster in My opinion is pretty good, and I loved the natural leather tan color and the thumb-snap. However, for some odd reason, in the difficult breaking period, the inner material was marring or scratching my pistols finish. On top of that, every time I pulled pistol out, I kept finding rawhide particles on the front sight and other crevices. This didn't appeal to me. So I returned it. Wished it had worked out.

Once broke in, this holster is good and protects weapons... Would recommend its purchase.

I have a Sig 320. The holster is pretty tight and I soaked the pistol and holster in hot water. Then let it dry for a couple of days. Then they fit together like a glove. It’s a good holster.

This i a great looking owb (outside waistband) holster fitting many fullsize firearms the retention is snug against your firearm and has a top strap and button to provide further retention. I would recommend having some type of leather conditioner as it does come to you kinda stiff other than than this company has knocked this out of the park.

My Ruger security 9 fit great in this holster right out of the box. It is made out of very thick leather and I think it will work great for the rugged lifestyle my guns live.

This has the thickest leather of any holster I've ever owned, and the craftsmanship is excellent for this price range. However, the fit is MUCH too tight for my Sig P320 M17 and remains so after weeks of trying to stretch is out via the usual methods. For that reason alone, I can't recommend this holster for the Sig. I just received a DeSantis Speed Scabbard, and the fit/retention is absolutely perfect right out of the package. It also has a retention adjusting screw if needed, which the 1791 holster does not have, and is in the same price range. I suggest going with the DeSantis.
