I know it’s probably too late to answer this but, just in case you are still looking for an answer. In my experience of living with cats my entire life here’s my advice. I have not used this particular item. However, I have used charcoal bags and charcoal pyramids near litter boxes. Which did make a huge difference! Recently, I started using Pretty Litter. I know, kinda expensive. But, man oh man! This litter is Amazing! If you use it according to directions I bet it would be a game changer. I don’t follow the directions. I fill it and it can be used for a couple of months for my one cat. I just scoop out the chunks daily(ish). But the odors are extremely contained and controlled. It’s Amazing! I wished I had know about it years ago! I have physical limitations that can prevent me from taking care of the boxes like they need to be. It absorbs the ammonia the best I’ve ever experienced! One word of caution, if you try this litter do not let it go unchanged too long. I did once and only once. After if has absorbed all it can then it just turns into ammonia smelling sandlike material that will burn your eyes, nose and throat! Lol. Like I said, I let it go too long once and only once! Never ever want to go through that experience again! I hope this info will be helpful to you or maybe you can pass it along. We need all the advice and recommendations we can get to help take care of our FurryBabies. My guess is that this item would be helpful. I just haven’t tried it for that. But it’s a good idea! I may try it when I need to repurchase some charcoal bags/pyramids. I’m sorry I didn’t catch your question sooner.

Is there an ideal place to put this within the fridge and freezer? More towards the back or front?

There's no set place to put the Ninjas! Try to allow some room around so they can sniff out those bad smells that circulate in the refrigerator.  We put 1 on the top shelf and 1 in the vegetable draw.

How do I use and read the fridge thermometer card given?

The gift Ninja Fridge Thermometer is measured degrees Celsius. We suggest you place your thermometer below the top shelf and towards the door to give a general indication of the fridge temperature.

The “CORRECT" range is  2°C - 4°C (36°F - 40°F), the FDA recommends keeping your refrigerator at or below 40° F (4° C), and your freezer at 0° F (-18° C) to keep your food fresh the longest and prevent the growth of bacteria that could cause food-borne illnesses.

If it shows your fridge is higher than 4°C (40°F) and “INCORRECT” is displayed on you thermometer, then you may wish to adjust the fridge setting to lower the temperature.

What is the material of the container that holds the deodorizer? If plastic, what number plastic is it? Thanks.

The box holding the charcoal pounds plastic. I took it apart and still couldn't find the plastic number anywhere. It is a plastic that is durable enough for the fridge but could be faiely crushed if stepped on. Works well.
