Really Awesome!

This is the best backpack I have ever used. I know it is a clone, but it is a really good clone. The materials and workmanship are great. It is a good value with all of the components included in the package. The load shelf inside the main pack is truly functional. Many People think its purpose is to divide the pack Into an upper and lower section The true function of this shelf is to create a false bottom in the pack allowing the center of gravity to be adjusted when the pack is not full or when carrying awkward or bulky equipment, extra water or fire wood for example. The pack is very comfortable and carries both light and heavy loads very well. I did make two adjustments to the pack along with setting the torso length. The first is out of the ILBE manual which is to bend the aluminum frame Stays to match the curves in your back. The pack I received had straight frame stays. The second was to secure the strap ends to prevent the strap connectors from hanging off of the sides of the padding. I used gorilla tape, making sure to disconnect the quick release straps first, I included a picture to identify what I am referring to. These two mods really made the pack fit great and carry any load I put in it comfortably. The main pack is on the heavy side but it is a sturdy, heavy duty, load hauling pack. You wouldn't purchase this if you are looking for an ultralight pack. The included assault pack, hydration reservoir and hydration carrier are all really nice too.I have been on several hikes and rucks with this pack with anywhere from 25 to 70 pounds in it and the pack is just great. It is very comfortable and durable.

Super nice

Do not listen to the bad reviews. If their pack broke or started to tear then they had it way overloaded. I carry 60-70 pounds of gear on my 3-10-mile hikes I do almost every weekend. this pack is definitely worth the money! I have a pack from Mystery Ranch, a rucksack that I love and this pack is on par with the mystery ranch ruck. Not as good as it but definitely a pack that I would recommend to anyone looking for a hunting, hiking, and camping pack.

By far the best pack at even double its price

First of all, be honestly, it is a replica, not USGI ILBE, however I have to say it is far ‘more more more’ than the old version of ILBE. If you must buy the issued one, go some where else, yet, looking for a completely super qulity Ruck System, right here!!!!It has all the ILBE parts, main bag, assult pack, hydra pack and bladder, big enough for a week backpacking, it can store your all necessary supplies. I could use the flap and various attached straps to hold a modular sleeping system, mat, or 2 person tent instead. The sides of the main pack has extremely large pockets on the bottom of both, along with a set of three straps. I hold some pretty crazy things with this pocket and strap combo, like tent poles, skis, a full-size ax, or a Jungle boots. The main things I'm stoked on is its comfort, quality, and durability. The aluminum frame are so near perfect that keeps the body comfortable even with 60 lb. loads. The shoulder straps and hip belt padding are the best I've worn and this is imperative to comfort. The hip belt is easily fit to the user's hip shape at the front tip of the hip belt, so that there's full contact of the widest, thickest, and firmest hip belt I've ever worn.Frankly, the laser cutting PALS has just a better looking of whole pack, and I am not sure it can last longer than webbing belt design. Anyway, by far it is okay, I bought and use it for 2 weeks, going up a large hill, through bramble-infested woods, and down the road a bit, Pouches attchment is used oftenly, and It is strong enough. Worth to recommed.

Not reinforced!!!

I bought 2 backpacks and I'm pleased overall, they're very comfortable and etc BUT I began thinking about the bottom not being reinforced and that thing bothers me a LOT. I think and I'm sure of it that the bottom will last much less time and will show signs of use much faster. The only thing that is protecting the bottom from all the weight is division for your convenience but this is not enough for the field much less for muddy, rocky and all the environmental mess that we go through our journeys. I'm thinking to take the backpacks to some kind of sewer to add some cordura 400 or something of this kind because even other brands reinforce their bottoms from water, mud, damage, sharp staff and etc. I will be pleased that they will pay more attention to important details. Overall the backpack is fire!

Uncomfortable to feel never mind wear.

Where to begin, i thought I'd save a few dollars and not go with high price point items like Mystery Ranch or Eberlestock, it was a bad idea. I bought the cheaper ruck last year by Mardingtop that blew me away for a cheap ruck, it was both larger and comfortable and lasted a year of abuse before any stitching started to give way on the shoulder straps, anyways. Opening it up was exciting, but i was quickly disappointed. From first touch the straps felt as if they were filled with cardboard tough rigid and undoubtedly would cut you and make you chafe during a ruck. The added daypack is a nice thought. But I don't believe they thought about making it again comfortable or useable, could probably fit a laptop and baby wipes in it, THATS ALL. Buy something nicer or cheaper than this waste of fabric.

Not Army Compliant

My son really liked this but unfortunately it is not Army compliant and can’t be used for ROTC or Advanced Camp.
