Anchor Hocking 1-Gallon Glass Cookie Jar with Cover, Large (Pack of 2) -

These are great for storing a variety of things in the pantry with no worries about random pests getting into them (i.e. moths, mice, etc.) There is a minor problem with the lids sometimes, they are thin aluminum I think which makes them a little hard to screw on without cross threading. Not a big deal but thought you should know it may take a minute to get them on right sometimes.

Great American made product. I use these to make sun tea. High quality and good value for what it costs. Have bought other products from Anchor Hocking and have been happy with them all.

Everything was good. I am using the containers for storage of baking supplies. (Flour, sugar, etc). The only complaint is I put the in the dishwasher. The material in the lid to seal the jar basically disintegrated. I was ok with that because I don’t want any unknown material or glue etc to be in contact with food. I will replace with a high quality food grade silicone.

These are really nice glass canisters. I weighed them on a digital scale because so many people commented that they were thin. Each individual jar in the 1 gallon size weighed between 2 pounds 13 ounces to 2 pounds 14 ounces. I would have given them 5 stars if the lids matched the quality of the jars. They are thin, and you need to be sure they screw on correctly. DO NOT wash the lids in the dishwasher. The seal inside the lids is a thin plasticized white cardboard like what's used in a bakery box. It should keep bugs and humidity out. It would be nice if an upgraded lid was available as an option or something to buy separately. I couldn't find that, and I've looked. I also like how these look in my pantry, and that I don't have to think about micro plastics using them. I bought a 2nd set of the gallon size and a set of the half gallon size.

I ordered 2 sets of 4, of the gallon size cracker jars. These came in heavy duty Anchor Hocking boxes, with hefty dividers inside to keep the 4 jars in each set intact. In addition to that, they included 4 extra lids. (I guess 2 extra with each set?) The glass appears to be nice and thick, and the aluminum lids are the quality I would expect. I don't mind aluminum as long as it isn't touching my food. I was very pleased with both the quality, and the price, and would recommend these if anyone needed this type of storage.

I’ve purchased several of these jars. They are a perfect size fir so many uses. Pantry staples, organizing bathroom supplies and crafts. I have used these for gifts as they are perfect size to hold individual packages of ingredients and recipes. This last batch is not of the same quality I have enjoyed from Anchor Hocking. The Base is definitely thinner, there are air bubbles and imperfections/inclusions in the glass, very sharp edges on threads and neck opening. In the past, these jars had a thick textured base with the Anchor Hocking and USA logo. This current batch is smooth on the base with no logo or marking. Even the box no longer says ‘Made in USA’, so I am not even sure these are not substituted imported jars.I used to use another brand before I found these.... sadly, I will have to go back to that brand.Very disappointed.

I really appreciate the quality of Anchor Hocking products. They never disappoint, and they last for years.The 4 jars also came in a box that was thoughtfully packaged with a cardboard insert that was sectioned off into 4 sections that held each jar firmly in place.And yes, I would reorder from Anchor Hocking again. Because I never had reason to return an item from them, the packaging always secured the contents very well, and the items/products I order last for a long time. So yes, absolutely 5 stars, well deserved.Thank you, Anchor Hocking. Happy customer here.

If you want well made heavy glass jars for storage these are it. They are exactly what I hoped they would be. Thank you Anchor Hocking for continuing to make reliable products. I will be ordering the 2qt jars soon.
