Supports the lower back without being too bulky
Works fine when you get the right size. I have back issues and play golf regularly wearing a brace similar to this. I have satisfied that this brace will support my back (38" waste) without being too bulky. I typically wear a tank top type undershirt to buffer my skin from sweating in warmer weather. I wear this under my golf shirt which I do NOT tuck in.While I do get a big warm, this belt supports my L-4/L-5 back while I play golf with little issue. I wear it every time.I'm 80 years old and still playing golf regularly

4 star support on 1&1/2 star durability
I took some time before I wrote this review. I wanted to make sure that it would be informative and helpful about the product to others.I'm a 6'2 male, 250 pounds with a 42+ inch waist. When I first got this product, I tried it on as I ordered based on the size chart and it fits, so kudos on that. Before actually using this product I rinsed it water making sure I followed the directions given with respect to washing this product. I found that air bubbles appeared and the fabric surrounding the brace moved and lifted easily (can be seen in one of my photos). While doing physiotherapy, I had it on and it gave some added support and also helped stave off discomfort during the exercises that caused some distress in the affected area. When the brace was off I noticed the decrease in support for my back. There were times I put it on loosely and it rode up, however once I took the time to carefully put on the brace it stayed pretty much in place. However I also found that the brace started to separate and there were gaps in it. Thus decreasing it's ability to do the task required as good as I would like.Showed my therapist and she was quite alarmed.Does it do the job: Yes, somewhat, so I'd give 4 stars for thatWill it last: Does not appear, so I'd give 1 and a half stars for it's durabilityOverall feeling: Disappointed in the products durability but even in this deteriorative state, it still gives a semblance of support.Had a video but could not get it posted.

It Helped Me - But I Can Only Judge It Based on my Situation - Each Individual will be different and expect different things.
This Compression Support was exactly what I was looking for - I've had it for about a week and used it for two (2) full days and then two (2) additional times while doing work outside just to give me that extra confidence in my back while I'm working my way back to what I hope is full strength. This might not be for everyone - I think it really depends on what you are wanting to get out of it - I can tell you this (and maybe it was just mind over matter but I received this last Saturday after waking up that morning in excruciating pain from the Sciatica - it was all I could do to get moving that morning and get to the post office to pick this up. I put it on as soon as I got home and for me it was some instant relief from the pain and I wore it the rest of the day with no discomfort and continued to feel better through the day - I've seen many reviews and almost didn't get it but I really wanted to get something and the other items I looked at in this category just didn't seem to be what I needed - I'm between a 38 and 40 and so I got the X-Large and it worked great for me under my clothes - I got this one because a lot of answers I saw to similar products seemed to indicate that those with a large range and fits most were really not big enough and would be too tight - getting the X-Large for me was perfect. Will it work for everyone, I don't know - each person is different and I really wanted some support that I could control by adjusting the tightness if I felt I needed. I know back pain is nothing to play with so I really think you have to decide what is right for you - for me this worked and I hope that it will continue to work when I feel I need it. I'm certainly no expert on back pain and can only speak for myself. Glad I got it and glad it was available via Amazon Prime to get it quickly - for me it couldn't have arrived at a better time. I will consider getting another just to have as a spare or to wear to the office vice the 1st one I got which I tend to use for outdoor activities - I only plan to wear it if and when I feel I need it. I know one review said it left stains and I would say that in my case it did as well but I was wearing it over a white t-shirt and while it did leave basically an outline of the "belt" it was of no concern to me as it was hot, humid and muggy - when I wore it in the comfort of my home I did not experience any staining.

If your a big guy READ THIS!
First off, I love copper compression. I have many of their products. This is not a bad product. That is not what this is about. If you are a big guy this isn't for you. This did not fit at all. It did not fit around my belly. I am about 6'0 and 300. I wear size 44 in pants and those are a bit big. I couldn't even strap it closed. So if you are a big guy don't waste your money. I bought this a few months ago and returned it. I love Copper Compression like I said so I accidently ordered it a second time not knowing it was the same one. Definitely a great product for someone who is smaller. Unfortunately its back to the drawing board for a back brace.
