Looks like the OEM part and works great
My Maytag Bravos washing machine was stuck in sensing mode and would not advance to filling/washing/spin mode. I ordered this shift actuator and replaced the one in the machine that was not working. It took just a few minutes to uninstall the original actuator and replace it with this one (you have to unplug the machine, disconnect the water hoses and tip the machine on its back). After recalibrating the machine, I started the first wash cycle and was back in business. It has worked flawlessly. I cannot attest to the to the durability of the part as it has only been about a month since it was installed. But, it saved me $375 from having the machine repaired by a service technician, or $900 from having to replace the machine all together.

It was what we needed for our washer but it didn't fix the problem.

Installation was easy, but failed after 2 washes.

Quick Fix
This product is a direct replacement for my Maytag Model # MVWC565FW1. My issue was that my washer would not spin and left clothes soaked when it attempted to spin it was make a screeching noise. swapped out the part in about 5 minutes and washer was able to spin again. Also saw other reviews say this product does not last long but for the price it is definitely a quick fix and i will be buying an oem part later on in case this one fails. Overall i am satisfied and can continue with laundry

Fixed my shifting issues
Washer now transitions from agitate to spin. Prior to the repair it would not spin the drum only the agitator.Part was a direct fit.Easy to change. 2x screws and one connector.

Whirlpool Washer sensor
Item not used, returned.Seemed to be the right part, of good quality, however clothes washers were beyond repair, the main electronic board was bad.

shift actuator plastic pin
This item may be fine, but there is a small plastic pin in the shift actuator which will break, on my washer it was because the clutch was bad but seems like the actuator could be made stronger and just lock up instead of breaking to let you know to look for other problems. I used a 3d scanner and printed the actuator (with pin) but I'm sure most people are buying a second actuator and a clutch system.
