Hello, Thanks for your interests in our product. Actually,There is no difference between these Aura Pro and Aura-b types. The only difference is they are assembled in 2 different factories. Besides, Aura X Pro is the portable version of Aura Pro who has a built-in battery, which is good for those who travel often. Both of the three models includes the side light and foot pedal since they are all designed to be a book scanner, so the OCR Function will also be equipped with of these three types. Q: Can I scan into Word/Wordperfect programs & copy snd paste?

Yes,the CZUR software will saved the scanning images in your PC automatically. MOreover the OCR technology enables to converted document into editable PDF，Excel, WORD, TIFF, etc. You are encouraged to go to Youtube and search 'CZUR Aura Pro'model for many instrustions videos. Thank You CZUR-Team

Q: can this scan fat books? I'm thinking like a music fake book that has about 900 pages

Hello, Thank you for your interests in our product. We are afraid that all CZUR Scanners do not applicable for the fat books like music fake book around 900 pages. The thickness of the books will be out of the scanning range. Thank You CZUR-Team

Q: Would this work well for an art journal?

This is primarily a document scanner. It doesn't have settings for the high DPI scans that most artists prefer. The camera lens is fourteen inches above the scanning area, which reduces the fine detail in scans. There are multiple video reviews of this model searchable online.
