This is like balance pads used by therapists. Order the largest size if you want to stand diagonally on it with both feet. Great for improving balance. Useful to train muscles for balance for stand up paddleboards. You will feel your muscles in your legs when you start using it. Good thickness and quality.

This is a very sturdy piece of foam to work on strengthening ankles and improving balance. It's hard to do at first, but with practice, it gets easier. Good price too.

I went to physical therapy for plantar fasciitis and one of the exercises they had me do was to stand on one foot on one of these for several sets of 40 seconds to a minute. I decided to get one for myself and I think this one is even better than the one at physical therapy. It is holding up well and it always returns to its original shape quickly. The softness/firmness level seems just right. It is a challenge, but it’s supposed to be. Definitely recommend for balance work and physical therapy.

After 60 balancing is important so I do a 39 second balance on each foot!

I really love this pad. I have arthritis in my knees and this is helpful in cushioning my transition down to and up from the floor. I also use it for my yoga poses that involve my knees, whether it's cat/cow, child's pose, or lunges. You can also use it for balance, to work the small leg and foot muscles. I love the purple color.

Physical therapist suggested that I needed a mat for balance. I highly suggest this mat. Great quality and low price.

These are great pads. Since I'm still a beginner at doing squats, I put one on a chair and do my squats as though I'm sitting down -- but stop when I hit the pad. Very helpful for balance exercises too! I have two of them.
