I purchase this for use with a work-provided VariDesk ProPlus, and it works very well! It mounts easily (and would work well on a regular desk or table that's not too thick). The installation instructions were helpful, and positioning the monitors was easy. The arms do need to be tightened down using the supplied hex wrench, and may require more tightness than you think to keep them from swinging while raising and lowering the desk.I did have to return the original package because they sent me another desk, but the replacement arrived quickly, although I did have to take the first package to a UPS ship station after I received the replacement (but that's on Amazon, not Vari).

My advantage: I was able to get Maintenance to do assembly and mounting to my VariDesk; IT did the install of my new HP monitors. Yay for me, on that end it was seamless for me-- all I had to do was purchase the VariDesk monitor stand and schedule the install.About the product, thus far I am really happy! As other buyers have noted, make sure your monitors are VESI style. Mine were not therefore I needed to get new monitors. Was a great excuse for getting larger monitors [I'd been looking for justification! :)]USE: I really appreciate the ability to adjust my monitors at a whim. I sit and stand repeatedly during the day. With the adjustable screens I can now stand for longer periods of time and have screens exactly where I want them--near-- pushed back, etc. I love the versatility. Other monitor stands offer this same feature, but what sent me to the VariDesk brand was the VariDesk standing desk I already had, and the ability to mount this monitor stand without drilling into the VariDesk. It was about $100 more than the competitor version I was looking at, but I will use for for a long time and it will remain at my employer's long after I'm gone. We will certainly get the ROI of the add'l $100!! After I adjust a monitor, it does shake momentarily (a few seconds?). I can touch the bottom of monitor and it ceases. This is another purchase from VariDesk, and I am really pleased. I have been very happy with quality and performance of both products from the company and would recommend this monitor stand!

Great product, makes it easier to adjust between sitting or standing and maintain a healthy posture (Covid was indirectly crushing my back & neck!). I opted to put a laptop tray (WALI Laptop Holder for my 16" max) on the 2nd arm, rather then a 2nd monitor. I keep my calendar and email in easy view and can swing it over when I want more of a true 2 monitor display configuration paired with my 27" monitor. The Vari stand allows me to better utilize my physical desktop space and helped add a view I never took advantage of with my previous set-up. It's flexibility easily accommodates multiple situations like someone(s) joining me in the room, setting up display for a video/training session to view from a more comfortable chair/couch elsewhere in the room, etc.I moved the base around 3 or 4 times to find the optimal placement; checking arm swings for alignment, height and relationship between monitor and laptop, and whether any room would be required beyond the rear/side of the desk (I wanted to place my desk as close to the walls as possible). While a bit time consuming to take everything down and play 'what-if' I do this way... I'm glad I did, some of my initial assumptions proved wrong and I really appreciate the set up I have in place.I highly recommend this product!

There is no doubt that this is a sturdy, high quality monitor arm. The laws of physics are its only downfall.I had no problem assembling and installing this on my Vari desk. Adjusting the tension in each arm, to accomodate the light weight of my monitors, was very easy too. The cord storage was awesome, no more cluttered desk area.When using the monitor arm, while my desk was in the lowered position, everything was perfect. Stable, sturdy, they were at the perfect height. I raised my desk to the standing height, and that's when the shaking began.I don't bash my keyboard, but even the most normal of typing, or even gently bumping up against my desk, caused the monitors to bounce. My desk is in a carpeted room, which probably doesn't help either. The carpet, combined with the height of the raised desk, combined with the length of the monitor arms causes the bouncing.I chatted with Vari support, and they suggested reducing the tension on the arms (I tried that, didn't help), and also placing something very heavy on my desk to stabilize it. There's not enough room to put anything of substantial weight on the desk, so that's not a solution for me.Sadly and reluctantly, I returned it. This would be a perfect solution for someone who doesn't use a standing desk, or maybe even if your desk is on a hard surface rather than carpet.
