I bought this &… 3 others? but this one so far is my favourite. I’m super sensitive to strong smells (incense, cologne, etc) so I tend to get headaches super easily from overpowering scents but this one? not a singular brain cell was in pain! in fact, they were relaxing in Oahu, but I digress lol; the smell is super strong, not strong in an overpowering “please learn how to apply cologne” sense, but strong as in the individual scents notes can be fairly easily picked up, & they all mix so so well together to create such a lovely aroma. & the best part is they don’t smell cheaply made, which is honestly really nice for the price. The hints of blackberry, as an Oregonian, have to be my favourite notes on this one, Blackberries are all over the place in Western Oregon, & they always smell simply amazing, nostalgic almost? I’ll definitely be buying this one again! (Amazon, why is one of the idea tags for my review “taste”????)

I've been using Clubman Pinaud for some time and really enjoy it as an aftershave but wanted to try something new. As I'm a fan of both whiskey and wood smells, this was a natural and, man, they hit a home run with this.My wife loves it and a female neighbor commented unsolicited how much she loves it as well.Some have said it has an "old man" scent. I disagree. I think it has a mature scent that doesn't smell like something college kids wear. Color me impressed. It does soothe the skin, it does its job perfectly and it stays all day long, albeit subtly.

Whiskey Woods has turned out to be one of my favorite Pinaud scents. It's very similar to Cognac Neat, but I like it a little better. Most of them are pretty good, but this one and Classic Vanilla are just excellent.

Well I can honestly say this doesn't lack for strength. I opened the package and caught some whiffs. When I cracked the cap my head jerked back from the initial strength of scent. My mom is in town and said she loves it! My wife however refused to let me touch her pillow because she was afraid it'd rub off and continue to choke her through the night (this was freshly out of the shower). I'm also a clean shaven bald gentleman with a short beard, so maybe I didn't the 4 or 5 drops all over my head but that was also kind of the point! She also said I smelled like an old man and I'll be honest, it's the first thing I thought as well. This scent reminds me of the recently retired gents. It does smell great and if my wife could get over it I would probably be fine using the whole bottle. If she can't, I'll bring it to my office to use as an air freshener.

I smoke cigars and pipes, but don't want to be out in public with non-smokers annoying them. Was recommended by a friend who told me that this product would neutralize odors, and it DOES! Fantastic!

Smells like a fresh cut at the barbershop on a Saturday morning—clean, crisp, and masculine. The perfect balance of classic and fresh. Highly recommend if you’re after that timeless, just-groomed scent.

Normally, I go for Nivea Sensitive skin, but went out on a limb for this because it sounded interesting. This was a mistake.Upon receipt, I immediately opened the box as I was eager to see what it smelled like. Well, it didn't take long to be hit with it. The (plastic) bottle was completely sealed, yet there is a very slight film on it as if it had been seeping a bit, and it was noticeable. Familiar, yet different, I couldn't quite place it. After removing the seal and taking a whiff from the opening, it transported me - not to a dimly lit bar - but to a time when I was a young child at my grandfathers house. My grandmother sold Avon, so around the house, in different rooms, there were multiple bottles of Avon aftershave. The kind of aftershave that was sold in bottles that looked cars, or houses, or other things. That's what this smells like. While I have fond memories of my grandparents' house, this smell is not pleasant.After storing the bottle in the bathroom, next to the rest of the shaving supplies, I went and did dishes. And threw a pizza in the oven. 20 minutes later, the family was home, the pizza was coming out of the oven, and most of the dishes that needed cleaning by hand, had been done. We sat down to eat, and as I brought my slice of pizza to my mouth, it hit me again. That smell. Over the pizza. After washing a counter full of nasty pots and pans. Evidently the seepage of the plastic bottle had managed to transfer some of it to my fingers. Where it stayed.Undeterred, I thought maybe I would wait until I actually used it as an aftershave to review. Well, I am freshly shaven with it on my face, and I can safely say...not a fan. I could smell the unopened bottle on the counter as I shaved. Over the shaving cream that was on my face. Right next to my nose.The sensation of applying it is fine. No worse than any other aftershave splash, and my face feels nice. However, that smell. The description states "its captivating fragrance is deep yet not overpowering".It is most definitely overpowering. And I can't get the vision of those old, musty, glass Avon bottles out of my head.

Definitely old classic Barber shop fragrance. Love it
