Even though 77 years after independence discrimination against scheduled casts and tribes is still prevailing in each and every department, college's and universities in India, which I personally feel every uppercase Hindus should introspect themselves. other wise I wonder other religions may Even grow larger and Hinduism may perish. IF not today may be in long future .

This book clears a lot of misconceptions about the Untouchables. It is an unbiased work by Dr. Ambedkar. It is a must read book for those who want to understand the casteism in India.

This book is a detailed study about caste and particularly about untouchables and how they become untouchables. His work is underrated in this matter.
