Bang for your buck!
Just what I needed to shoot a few motion clips here and there. As a photographer primary, I don’t need an O’Connor head and this thing does the trick. Get smooth pans and tilts with your DSLR or other small camera. I even have mine attached via 3/8 16 straight to my sticks. Great affordable option!

Excellent purchase
This fluid head is very well made. Time will tell how well the movement lasts. So far it's better than my Manfrotto 502AH which costs almost double the SmallRig DH10.

Learned A lot By Purchasing this head.
This is my first real quality photo tool to pair the camera with my tripod. Not a PRO here, just a curious amateur with a bucket list of sorts. This is a nifty “bit of kit” as the Brits might say. Very good quality with a velvety smooth action weather tilting or panning.I had only one issue and that was getting the base to rotate properly. VERRY tight at first. later determined to be of MY own understanding of how the head is adjusted. This was remedied by the unlimited patience of Jesse. I was even sent a replacement at no cost for shipping. Yet, I still had the problem. His efforts revealed an improvement was needed in the information provided to the shopper. A more focused look at the panning adjustment. THAT was my Kodak moment and after that all was well.I can recommend the product wholeheartedly as well as the SmallRig company. Their customer service is excellent!

SmallRig Support for the Elgato Prompter
I built an "All-In-One YouTube Studio" on a light stand. Part of that setup includes an Elgato Prompter (lens mounted). I decided to support the camera and lens with a SmallRig support system. Here are the SmallRig parts:1. DH10 Heavy Duty Tripod Fluid Head2. 5" Quick Release Plate for Manfrotto3. Universal 15mm Rail Support System4. Adjustable Lens Bracket5. Two 15mm x 8" carbon fiber rodsSmallRig parts are an industry standard and simply stated, they are high quality, durable, and economical. You can't go wrong with SmallRig parts for your camera needs! Now, I can rest assured that the camera and lens are properly supported when I attach the Elgato Prompter to the camera lens.

Great Fluid Head with a Fatal Flaw.
I’ve been using the SmallRig DH10 Heavy-Duty Video Head to replace my trusted Manfrotto MH502AH, which has worked great for me but is slightly bulkier than I’d like (every square inch in my equipment pack counts). The DH10 is a decent replacement for the price point, but comes with a critical flaw regarding the quick release system. Unlike my Manfrotto, where there's a ridge that reliably prevents the camera from sliding off, the plate on the DH10 can slip right off the back if the tightening knob loosens. Most tripod heads/plates even when loosened won't release the plate until you hold down the release button. This flaw puts my entire FX6 rig at risk. I’d love to see SmallRig address this in future versions, as the head otherwise has a lot of potential. For now, I’d recommend sticking with the Manfrotto MH502AH if you don't mind spending the extra coin. The little bit of extra bulk I'm sure won't bother anyone else but me.

Does the job
USed it for a D850, Z30 and FX6. Smooth and supportive. I have a leveling adapter so very quick set up. Would be great if it would also accommodate a narrower plate.

Lasted just over a year
Bought this head in August of last year. Great head, love the movement and the ease of use as well as stability to lock down. BUT, I'd say just after the year mark, the head would not stay locked anymore and would actually turn on the tripod mount screw when I was panning the camera. The lock mechanism to pan has stiffened up to the point it will not turn either with out sufficient effort. The lock screw/knob on the back side by the spirit level fell off when using.Really love using it but it's not worth the hassle to fiddle with it every time I need to use it for video work. I do not swap heads of and on the tripod either. Once it is on, it stays on. Really love the feature to be able to swap it out from the head to the gimbal. Great design for that. But the other issues are a downside for me.I use only small rig gear for all my cameras and some lights. Thought this one would last like the other products I own. This one was a let down. So sad too.UPDATE: 12/07/24 - Still no response from Smallrig on their design flaw. Seems they added the mounting screws to the bottom of Tribex fluid head for the Potato jet setup. But does not resolve the issue with their other current lineup of heads. Sad, might have to switch brands and go back to Manfroto or an entirely new brand for my Tripod needs. But their other gear is still topnotch. .
