This is the best thing ever!! It is water resistant!! I forgot to pick up my grandson's cup and saw it the next morning never went through the mat.

Love the ability to have everything catch and just dump it in the trash and easy to wipe clean. I didn’t like how it was supposed to not lift on the corners and was to lay flat, mine just kept lifting causing it to be more hazardous than helpful!

My child no longer wants to sit in one place to eat so I wanted a splat mat for other reasons, although I do have hope she will see it as a picnic area for messy foods and sit on it to contain those messes! I wanted a mat for her to do sensory play, like play dough, sand, slime, shaving cream, etc. Most mats seem to be on the smaller side so I was really impressed when I opened this one up to see how large it is. My child is about 38", 32lb in this photo for reference. It shakes off easily, wipes up easily, so I haven't needed to try it in the washing machine yet. It is very lightly padded to keep it in place but that also makes it nice for sitting on. I would absolutely buy this again.

I bought this for underneath my 1-year-old's high chair because I was tired of having to mop food and liquid out of the cracks in between my wood planks of my floor. It's very large and covers a pretty good area of space underneath his high chair for accidental throws and splatters. The pattern is super cute and I like that the fabric is lightweight and easy to fold up and move around when I don't want it on the ground. It's pretty easy to clean although it's not much easier than just cleaning the wood floor itself. But I do like that instead of having to vacuum or sweep I can just lift up the mat and quickly shake it off outside to get rid of any crumbs. It's definitely waterproof I haven't noticed any liquid spills seep through onto my floor as long as you clean them up pretty quickly. It's not the most elegant looking at your dining room table but it's great for when you're just home alone with the kids and you just want to prevent extra messes. Overall it works exactly as I expected and don't have many complaints about the product.
