Automotive Stereo 4GA Terminal Crimp
Omg, it was way more work than it should have been to see if these would work! As another reviewer said: the labels on the jaws are not helpful. Pictured is a new XScorpion brand 4-gauge terminal in the first (smallest) crimp slot on the 8200-model crimper. It fits perfectly. That is what we needed to know, not whatever Amp rating they were designed for.The black wire pictured was my first attempt/practice shot (wire length was not a concern) on vintage Stinger #4 ground cable. The two blue-wire crimps were on new tinned-copper Monster Car Audio (Monster Cable) 4-gauge. I left the silly "flux-tube" in there, as the wire-braid is wrapped around it. It's a Monster Cable feature.Look how clean those crimps turned out. I also lightly greased the tool's die saddle with Shell Gadus grease. After a total of four crimps, I can already feel minor slop developing in the main handle-pivot. I snugged the 13mm nylock nut, while holding the pin-head with some pliers (as I saw another person comment on). The jaws are nice and thick steel, but the handles are far too short for the amount of leverage required to crimp, at least with these nickel-plated "platinum" brass terminals. Copper terminals would probably be much easier. Still, for the price, this provided excellent results.I bought the 8200 because I wasn't sure if the #4 terminal would fit in the smallest die. The middle die is too large, so factor this in if you'll only do #4 and below (get the 5200 model instead). I also plan to crimp car battery terminals in the future, so I knew I'd need 2GA capability at some point.

Good quality
Works with the right connectors. Limited to large wire sizes and a little pricey , but you can make your own cables and it will prob pay for itself with one use. It did for me.

Don't let the price fool you - it's a well built tool!
This tool is awesome! It's incredibly well built and worked perfectly for crimping new battery cable terminal clamps to replace the existing damaged ones. It does require a little setup time to properly set the cable in the new fitting the center it in the jaws but once done its a simple squeeze away from having a professional grade crimp.

Great quality for the dollars spent!
I bought a box/set of open barrel copper connectors and found I couldn't make any of them work without the proper crimp tool. So, I purchased this one. Once I received it, I did a few experiments on crimping various gauge wire with the various open barrel connectors. It's good to practice with this on junk wire so that when it comes time for the real deal, you're prepared and will do a correct crimping job. I can say that I'm totally happy with it. It's a very well built set of crimpers. The prime reason I gave it four stars for "Easy to use" rating was/is because in a situation like crimping, you need two hands for operation of the crimpers. Then you need another hand to place and hold the connector in place in the teeth of the crimper, and finally you need another hand to hold the wire to be crimped so it's properly placed in the open barrel while the two handles are being squeezed together. For this very reason, I would have liked to purchase the bench unit but, the ones I bought are more versatile and portable. On edit: The bench unit basically takes the place of a couple extra hands. Now, primarily you need only use one hand for the one handle since the base of the unit is stable. And you can use the other hand for stabilizing the barrel connector and the wire end that are in the jaws ready to be crimped. But the bench unit is not nearly as portable as the two handled one is so, working close to your work and not a bench means you more that likely need the portable unit.

Great product, great price.
This is a quality piece of equipment. At this price, you could break after one repair and it would still pay for itself. Fortunately for us, this thing will last quite a long time.

iCrimp Battery Cable Lug Crimping Tool Is A Keeper
My first crimp is shown in the photo. The crimp is mostly ok, but you can see the crimper wasn't placed quite close enough to the ring and required a second crimp to touch it up nicely. That was just my inexperience with the tool. A dozen crimps later I am producing excellent results with minimal fussing around. The tool itself is extremely sturdy and easy to work with. That said, even with the compound action design and long handles it does take considerable effort to crimp the 50A and larger size barrels. For those I put one handle against the floor and use my arms and a little body weight to squeeze down the other crimper handle and complete the job. Once you do it a few times it is simple. The cutter works easily and the nose of the crimper can be used to tighten the barrels on the crimps before inserting into the tool (you have to do this with the crimps I have).I have no regrets about the price or quality of this tool so far and I no longer dread crimping larger terminals or worrying if they are crimped properly. Should have gotten this long ago.
